On February 10, 2009 the Soddy-Daisy Fire Department was dispatched to a train on fire near the crossing at Harrison Lane.
It was found to be the second engine in line with the engine compartment fully involved. The fire was hit with water to slow if down while the foam system was set up. The fire was then extinguished with foam.
