House Fire February 6, 2009
I am sure others had a similar experience on the night of the mobile home fire in a small trailer park. I had just gotten undressed to go to bed and we had a tone out for a fire on Dayton Pike. Just as I got dressed and put my coat on another tone came out canceling the call. I took care of a few things and got undressed again. I got in bed and just as I pulled the covers up the tones started. This time it was the house fire.
While responding I heard a report from the first in Engine Company that it was totally involved and they were protecting the exposures. As has become the normal when I arrived enough members of the department and equipment was already at the location to allow me to take photos as they took care of the fire. The house was totally involved and again as is the norm they knocked it down before the last walls failed to let the roof fall. It was not only a good stop but the only exposure damaged was a car not more that about 6 feet from the house and it was only damaged in the area of a tire that caught fire. And again as is the norm I took a lot of pictures so give them time to load.
