The Soddy-Daisy Fire Department responded to a house fire on Hood Circle on Thursday, April 9, 2009.
The department was training at the time of the call so a quick response with a full grew of firefighters.
The house has been abandoned for several years and had holes in the floor and was boarded up. Firefighters had to remove plywood covering the doors and windows and use caution inside because of the floor.
