On Saturday, 1/3/09 an officer of the Soddy-Daisy Police Department responded to a call that a car may have run into the lake at the Holly Park Boat Ramp.
2 Officers and 1 Sergeant from the Soddy-Daisy Police Department, 30 firefighters, 2 Soddy-Daisy rescue trucks, 1 HCEMS Ambulance, 1 scuba diver, the police chief and the mayor of Soddy-Daisy arrived at the scene.
From the boat dock the red light believed to be a tail light could be seen out even with the end of the dock.
A diver, Eddie Vinson entered the water with a cable from the fire department rescue truck wench as all waited to see if anyone was in the car. The diver returned with a head mount light just like the one Gutter was wearing on his head.
